Each year, the Yoshukai International Karate Association holds it's annual summer camp at St. Leo University.  This 4-day long event will be attended by students and instructors from around the world.  Alumni to the university, Yoshukai instructors gather together to reinforce basic fundamentals and provide everyone an opportunity to participate in specialized training sessions not normally available.  Classes are lead by some of the top ranked instructors in the association.

Students participate in morning, afternoon, and evening training sessions that generally last 3 hours.  Each session is broken into 2 or 3 segments with at least 1 segment devoted to formal class time with the chief instructor.  Classes include all levels of kata training and kumite fundamentals as well as self-defense techniques and weapons training.  Other activities include pool time for the children (supervised). Camp fees are $330.00 for participants and include room, meals, and training.  Parents and non-participants are welcome to join us for a prorated fee of $225.00 (includes room and meals).

Accommodations are provided by St. Leo University and include a double occupancy dormitory room (2 single bunks) with shared bath facilities and cafeteria dining.  Please bring your own bed linens, pillows and towels. Students are encouraged to bring extra uniforms, blankets, and coolers for drinks.  Washers and dryers are available on the premises.

An Important note to Parents: If you are sending your child to camp and are not going to be present yourself,  please provide a hand written notarized note to your child's instructor granting your child's instructor "permission to treat"  in which permission is given to have treatment rendered at a medical facility should it be necessary.  Last year we had a small child with an abscess tooth and the hospital would not even give the child an aspirin.
